Tech Release: Password Security Check Enabled  

Password Security Check is a security upgrade, a credential scanning feature which alerts digital banking customers if the password they are using to access CFB Digital Banking was exposed in a known data breach elsewhere.

If your password was compromised with another institution or company, a message will appear requiring you to change your CFB password upon digital banking login.  For customers whose passwords were not compromised, nothing will change, your login process will be the same as it is now.   The snapshot pictured is an example of what will appear if a password was compromised upon accessing CFB’s Digital Banking.

To further support our goal of providing exceptional service, we have enabled Password Security Check for digital banking users.   This credential scanning feature alerts digital banking users if the password they are using was exposed in a known data breach.  This feature will prompt users with compromised passwords to change their digital banking credentials upon login.
