CFB Announces 2024 Results at Annual Shareholder Meeting

Clinton, March 11, 2025: CFB Holding Company, the parent entity of Citizens First Bank, held its annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

Stephen C. Clements, President & CEO of Citizens First Bank, reported on the bank’s achievements over the past year, highlighting positive returns for shareholders, including Return on Equity (ROE) of 13.75%. The 2024 year-end financial report reflected total assets of $321 million.

Clements reviewed the bank’s financial performance compared to local and national peers.  He stated, “As we approach our 25th anniversary, we’re excited about what 2025 has in store. Our team remains focused on profitability and efficiency to keep thriving in this ever-changing economy.  A big thank you to our board and shareholders for their ongoing support, and our amazing staff deserves recognition for their hard work. Together, we contribute to the bank’s growth and success.”

 

Celebrating 25 Years of Community Banking

Robert Holesinger, Chairman of the Board, recently had an opportunity to share the story of the origin of Citizens First Bank at a staff gathering.  He shared, “”When we started Citizens First Bank, we knew decisions needed to be made locally by people who truly understand this community. That’s just as important today as it was then. A bank shouldn’t just serve its community — it should truly be a part of it. We’re proud to celebrate 25 years of doing just that.”

The shareholder meeting also included several noteworthy promotions among the staff.

Dylan Burn joins the officer team as Commercial Lending Officer.  Dylan has been with Citizens First Bank in the loan department for nearly 5 years, following a management role at PPG Paints in Iowa City.  Dylan is a 2010 graduate of Clinton High School, a 2012 graduate of Clinton Community College, and has completed Commercial and Advanced Commercial Lending Schools with the Iowa School of Banking.  Dylan is an alumnus of the Grow Clinton’s Leadership Institute and now serves on the planning committee for that program.

Connie Dell joined the Citizens First Bank staff and officer team in January 2025.  Connie brings over 20 years of experience in human resources and management to her role at Citizens First.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, and HR certifications from the Society of Human Resources Management and HR Certification Institute.  Connie is a graduate of the Women Unlimited Leadership Program and has been involved in the community through Red Cross and the United Way Citizens Review Board.

Additionally, Eddie Dunham is named Senior Vice President – Senior Lender.  Eddie has been part of the Citizens First Bank team since 2009. Eddie is active in the Kiwanis Club and the Sawmill Museum Board of Directors.

Heather Farwell, Senior Vice President – Financial Services, was named Board Secretary. Heather has been part of the Citizens First Bank team since 2003. Heather is active in the Rotary Club of Clinton and Rotary Foundation, Grow Clinton as an ambassador and serves on the Iowa Bankers Association Emerging Leaders Advisory Board and Women Leader Peer Group.
