With Savings Boost at CFB, we can set up automatic transfers rounding up to the nearest whole dollar amount from each purchase into your indicated account.

It takes just one step with your banker to set up, stop by any of the CFB branches or contact your banker to enroll.

Savings Boost FAQ

Do I need to be a CFB Customer to take advantage of Savings Boost?

Yes!

I am already a CFB customer, do I need 2 CFB accounts to setup Savings Boost?

Yes!

The account that will originate the Boost should be a CFB Checking Account, and CFB offers a range of Checking Accounts to fit your needs:

 

The second account, or the “Boosted” account, can be a different CFB Checking Account or a CFB Savings Account. See all the personal accounts CFB offers

So can I "Boost" to an external account?

Unfortunately, no.

Only CFB Accounts can be boosted.

Can I further boost my account and get the max savings?

Yes!

The standard Savings Boost rounds up to the nearest whole dollar amount.

You can choose to add an additional amount to each qualifying debit card transaction up to the nearest $9 dollars.

Example using a $1.50 purchase:

  • Standard Savings Boost: At the end of the business day, $0.50 would be deposited into your indicated account.
  • Additional Savings Boost : If you chose to Boost to the nearest $2, $1.50 would be deposited into your indicated account at the end of the business day.
  • If you make multiple transactions, each transaction will be individually Boosted to the nearest $2.
  • If multiple transactions qualify for rounding in a day, one transfer is made for the total of all Savings Boost transactions during that day.
Are there any fees associated with setting up or cancelling Savings Boost?

No.

There are no fees associated with Savings Boost. Savings Boost transfer will be cancelled If there are not sufficient funds in the account to complete the Savings Boost.

Would a Savings Boost transfer happen if my account only has sufficient funds to cover for the total of my purchase?

No.

If there are not sufficient funds in the account to complete the Savings Boost, Citizens First Bank will not round up any debit card transactions on that day and the Savings Boost transfer will be cancelled.
